Moab, 2012
On a roadtrip from Los Angeles to Kenyon College in the summer of 2006 Danny and Emily stayed in Moab, Utah for a single evening. They did not have much time, so they were sure to take in the beauty of Arches National Park and shared a meal at Sunset Grill - a hillside restaurant which has a stunning view of Moab.
Six years later Danny and Emily returned to Moab. After two days of hiking and jeep driving, Danny got down on one knee at the Sunset Grill with Moab twinkling behind him.
After an enthusiastic and slightly tearful "yes", and forgiving Danny for letting so many friend's and family in on his plans to propose, Emily let it slip that she had always imagined getting engaged in Moab too.
